MEMBERSHIP TYPES
Membership Type Descriptions

Professional Members
Fire marshals, deputy or assistant fire marshals, fire inspectors, plans examiners, code officials, fire protection engineers, fire protection specialists, and other governmental or public-sector professionals involved in fire prevention and life safety.

Associate Members
Architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, educators, fire protection professionals, manufacturers, service providers, and other individuals whose professional activities relate to fire prevention and life safety.

Agency or Organizational Members
Fire departments, governmental agencies, educational institutions, businesses, professional organizations, and other entities supporting the mission of TFMA.

Student Members
Individuals enrolled in educational or professional development programs related to fire protection, fire prevention, engineering, architecture, emergency services, or related disciplines.

Retired Members
Individuals who have retired from qualifying professional service and wish to remain involved with the Association.

Honorary Members
Individuals recognized by the Board of Directors for distinguished service to fire prevention, life safety, or the Association.
